Can You Get Wi
You cannot get Wi-Fi without an ISP because a router is only able to distribute the internet access youve subscribed to from your internet provider. To get Wi-Fi/Internet you have to pay an ISP or Cellular carrier because routers and modems do not create internet connections of their own.
If the problem is that you live in a very remote area where high speed internet is unavailable, you can choose to be your own internet provider. However, due to the high cost involved in setting up an ISP, this is not an option for many.
How To Get Internet On Tablet Without Wifi
If you are looking to use the internet on your tablet without WiFi, there are many ways to do it. The problem is that you also want to get a wireless connection that is safe, fast, and secured.
You also dont want to sign onto a random WiFi network where you dont know the owner and what else is going on using that network.
Why Does Everybody Keep Asking For The Wifi Password
A majority of WiFi networks are protected by password for security reasons. After all, you wouldnt want every device in your home talking to a strangers computer.
Some WiFi networks are password-free. These open networks often exist in public places, such as libraries, airports, or college campuses, where reliable internet access is especially important.
The big thing to remember about WiFi networks: they are localized to within a limited range.
So you wont be able to access the internet from your home internet WiFi network when youre across town. Instead, you must use a password to connect to the internet through the WiFi networks available wherever you are, provided there are no open networks. Mobile devices pick up nearby signals automatically, and display them as a list of options.
This is why guests in your home may ask for your WiFi network name and password. Without it, they wont be able to connect their mobile device via WiFi to show you that video they saw on Facebook, or search for that recipe they just mentioned in conversation.

Best Usa Cell Service Plan: Verizon
Verizon has a few different unlimited plans depending on what youre looking for, but wed recommend the Do More Unlimited Plan. This starts at $80/month, but if you add another line the price goes down to $70/month per phone.
Do More Unlimited Plan:
nationwide coverage to 4G LTE and 5G access
50GB of data per month before it starts to throttle your data
15GB of phone Hotspot data
Unlimited Talk and Text in Mexico and Canada
Disney+ for 6 months.
Cheaper Alternative: The Start Unlimited Plan at $70/month, youd still get access to 4G LTE but you are subject to data throttling at any time. Also your Mobile hotspot is limited to 600 kbps, which is pretty slow. In our opinion, the Do More Unlimited plan is well worth the extra $10 per month.
Types Of Broadband Internet Connections
Wired internet : This is when you connect to the internet using a physical cable, be it a telephone line or a cable line , or a fiber optic line . This type of internet connection is fast , affordable, and is the most popular. A wired internet connection generally comes with no data caps or at least very high caps, so users don’t need to worry about how much they download or upload.
Satellite internet : This is similar to the wired internet but instead of connecting to the service provide via a cable, the home network connects to a satellite dish on the roof. The dish then communicates with satellites to provide the internet access. Satellite internet tends to be slightly more expensive and slightly slower than wired internet but is still an affordable option for remote areas with no cable, DSL or FIOS services.
Most cellular mobile devices can also work as a hot spot.

Test A Wireless Device
Take a device that has a wireless card built-in, like a laptop or your phone, and look for available wireless connections.
You should see your SSID as available it is as simple as connecting to it using the username and password mentioned in the previous step.
Repeat the ipconfig command on this device to make sure the IP address it receives also falls within the DHCP pool.
The final test is to check the connectivity between the two devices connected to the network. Lets assume that the wired device has the IP address 192.168.0.2
- Type cmd and press Enter
- Type ping 192.168.0.2 and press Enter
If you get a response, this confirms that both devices are connected to the same network and can communicate with each other, even without the Internet.
Visit Locations That Offer Free Wi
A variety of community locations and businesses in your area may offer free Wi-Fi. Many businesses that offer coupons, special promotions, and loyalty programs may provide free Wi-Fi to consumers under specific circumstances.
These give visitors an added convenience and enable more consumers to take advantage of in-store internet features. Libraries, bookstores, public plazas, McDonalds and Starbucks franchises the chances are pretty high that youll encounter some free sources of internet access in your day-to-day routine.
This can be a boon to individuals with limited data plans. Understand, however, that your access to public networks may come with some restrictions. Certain websites may be blocked, and the connection speed may not be sufficient for intensive streaming or downloading.
There are also some security concerns with using public Wi-Fi. Unscrupulous individuals can intercept data being transmitted to and from devices connected to public networks, potentially allowing them to glean enough information to commit fraud. Unless youre using a virtual private network, its not advisable to access sensitive information while on a public network.
If you have concerns about mobile pay transmitting your credit card information over a public network, have no fear most mobile pay platforms use NFC technology, so your information is not being transmitted over any public networks.

What If You Dont Have An Internet Connection
Did your web page not load? Dont panic, there are a few more steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem:
Mirror Your Screen Using A Mobile Hotspot
In case you dont equip a router for the aforementioned step, you can make do by using WiFi on both your Roku and smartphone to connect to some other network. For this, you will need a spare smartphone that comes with a mobile hotspot, which you can use to connect your smartphone to your Roku.
Note: You do not need internet access on the phone acting as a mobile hotspot to use to mirror your screen.
Step 1: Turn on the mobile hotspot on your spare phone. On most Android phones, you can do so by opening Settings, heading over to Network and internet > Hotspot and tethering > Wi-Fi hotspot, and turning it ON. For better security, you can enable WPA2 password protection, so that no one else is able to access the network.
Step 2: Connect your Roku and smartphone to the mobile hotspot that you just created.
Step 3: Follow Step 1 through Step 5 from the Use screen mirroring with an internet-less router guide mentioned above.

Will A Router Work Without The Internet
A router will work without an Internet connection and provide you with both a wired and wireless network its just that the devices connected to the network wont be able to access the Internet.
Being on the same network, all of the connected devices will be able to communicate with each other, so you dont have to worry about losing services like file sharing and shared printers when you are unfortunate enough to lose your Internet.

Q6 No Wifi And No Cellular Any Security Camera Options To Store Data Onsite Without Subscription Fees
“I’m looking for a night vision security camera that can store data locally no wires or separate storage device. Would need to cover a decent distance with the field of view. Needs to be battery operated. No WiFi or cellular. We would manually download and review footage.”
Answer: If you need a security camera for off-grid sites without WiFi and cellular service, the best option is go for the battery security cameras that support local recording to an SD card, like Argus 2. And then you can take the SD card out of the camera to review footage on your computer.
Note that WiFi connection is required for the initial setup of Argus 2 . After that, you are free to place the camera anywhere you wish.

Things You Can Do With Wifi Without Internet Access
I have to admit, this is a situation I find myself in way more than I should. In my defense, sometimes I just dont get the notification from my internet service provider politely reminding me to pay up in time to avoid being disconnected. Also, maybe I am a true Kenyan, meaning we are as last-minute as they come. So your internet subscription expired and you havent paid for your Home Internet and youre cut off from the web. Maybe youve paid but for some reason, it takes your ISP a few too many hours to complete your transaction and restore your connection. In the meantime, here are a couple of things you can do with your WiFi network without internet access.
What Are Your Internet Needs
Before we get started, its a good idea to know exactly what your Internet needs are:
How big of a priority is it for you to have Internet access?
Will it mostly be used for work or pleasure?
Will you need to be streaming or video chatting often for work?
Or will your needs be more basic?
Its also helpful to have a good handle on how much money youre willing to spend for camper van WiFi.
If youre looking to spend as little as possible, your options will look different from someone who is planning to invest a bit of money in their mobile workspace.
Important Note: As much as wed love to cover WiFi options for the entire globe, Internet and cell service vary significantly from country to country. For the purpose of this article, were focusing on the United States. We will note when products work in other regions of the world, but if you are based elsewhere, youll want to do some more country-specific research.
Bum Wifi From Your Neighbours
As youre sitting around with no WiFi internet of your own, you may notice the WiFi hotspots of other people around you. Which brings up the possibility of simply asking someone else if you can use their WiFi internet connection. We cant guarantee anyone will agree, especially if youre a complete stranger. A neighbor you know may be more willing to do this favor for you. If so, there are some tips that could be useful here.
From your point of view, treat this shared WiFi the same as you would a public WiFi. You dont control who connects to it, so its best to use a VPN service to encrypt your data and hide your activity.
You should also ask the person whether their router supports guest networks. This is a separate WiFi network that doesnt allow your devices and their devices to mix. It only gives you internet access. Thats perfect both for your friendly neighbor and your own peace of mind.
