Connecting to Wireless Network on Dell latitude laptop

My work laptop is connecting to my home WiFi but is showing No internet so I am unable to do anything. My home WiFi is working as other devices are connected so it doesnt seem to be an issue with the router. I have tried disconnecting from the WiFi network and erasing all the other WiFi networks as well as servers attempts at rebooting. I also tried connecting via Ethernet cable but nothing seems to be working. Just to note I have been connected to the home WiFi with no issues since March 2019 so no idea why its happened now. Can anyone help??

Might be a driver issue. Was there a Windows update before this problem appeared?

Search for Device Manager and open it.

Look down the device list for Network Adapters, double click on it and look for any devices that DO NOT begin their name with WAN Miniport. The two will be your Ethernet and Wi-Fi adapters.

Do either have an exclaimation mark in a yellow triangle? If yes right click on it and select Uninstall device.

If this doesnt fixit them run Diagnostic for network connection:

  • Connect Dell Computer To Wifi With An External Adapter

If your Dell desktop does not have a wireless network adapter built into it, you will need an external wireless adapter to connect your Dell computer to WiFi. Most of these adapters connect Dell computers to WiFi simply through one of your desktops USB ports, so begin by acquiring a USB Dell wireless adapter from your preferred retailer.

Once youve purchased your USB wireless adapter, plug the USB end of the adapter into your desktop. You should then be prompted to install the necessary drivers to use the device. If your Dell desktop already has the appropriate drivers, skip ahead to the Accessing WiFi section. If not, locate any accompanying driver software installation disk that came with your wireless adapter, and insert it into your desktop to begin installing the necessary drivers.

When the Install Wizard shows up, click the option that says Next to go to the user agreement page. Click Accept, then follow any additional steps until you get to the option to click Install. By clicking, you will install the necessary drivers to access your wireless network connection. Finish and complete the installation by restarting your desktop.
