Wirelessly I get 322 down/158 up using 5 ghz and 63 down/13 up using 2.4 ghz while in the same room with the router on my iPhone 7. Im struggling with my outdoor Nest cameras since they are the furthest from my router. Since I can currently choose between 2.5 and 5.0 ghz I found the 5 works the best. The extender that Cosme with my router does not help. Im concerned that not having the ability to choose 5.0 ghz it will not solve my cameras issue.

      The reason you want both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz is because 2.4 penetrates walls much better and travels four to five times farther. If you operate with 5 GHz only, your far away cameras will likely perform poorly.
