Try this: Turn off the offending device and turn it back on. You can also try turning the WiFi off and on again in the settings of your device, just to be thorough.

If this doesnt help, you may need to delete your network from the device entirely. On an iOS or Android device, you can simply click on the network name and hit Forget This Network.

This will mean youll have to find the network again and put the password in like you did the first time you set it up, but it should solve any remaining connection issues in the process.

    Resetting Winsock And Ip Stacks

While were at the core Internet Protocols and Windows Embedded Applications, lets enable Winshock and Internet Protocols . Winsock is a key part of the system communication between your computer and the Internet, and like some other inherent Windows applications.

It cannot be reinstalled. You can simply dump it. The same goes for IP stacks . Certainly, certain network stalls should permit this.

Now there are two different ways to reset these parts: by means of the command line and using a special utility. However, it isnt noted if the tool supports Windows 10, so I will explain the procedure manually. To reset the Winsock and IP stacks, follow these given steps:

  • First, again run the command prompt as the administrator by searching on the search bar.
  • At the command prompt, enter the following command and press Enter:
  • netsh winsock reset directory
  • From that point onward, paste these commands to reset the IPv4 and IPv6 stacks and press enter after each:
  • netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log
  • netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log
  • In the event that the issue persists, continue with the steps below.

    • Unplug the power cord from your gateway
    • Remove internal battery backup if you have one
    • Wait for around 20 seconds
    • Insert the internal battery back into the device, if any
    • And, then plug the power cord back in
    • Wait for around 10 minutes for the status indicator lights on the gateway to stop flashing and turn a solid green
    • Check your internet connection

Restarting your Wi-Fi gateway almost always helps resolve most connectivity issues. If however, it doesnt work, you can also try out a factory or hard reset. Remember, a factory reset will cause the device to return to its default statecustomized Wi-Fi network info such as network names , passwords, static IP, etc. may be lost. In case a hard reset does not resolve the problem and your internet keeps disconnecting, the gateway device could be running on faulty components. Meaning you will have to access AT& T for tech support.

Re: Roku Wont Connect To At& t Wifi After Router And Device Factory Reset

There are some router/modems that have an issue with Roku devices if the 2.4 GHz radio mode is set to only G/N. Changing the mode to B/G/N restores connectivity. It might be worth a try on yours. I have no idea how it’s changed on your router, as I don’t have the same type. You might control the router through an app, you might have to log into a config screen on the router, or you might need to contact AT& T and ask them to change it. For my Xfinity modem, Comcast has me locked out of those settings, so I’d have to contact them to make any changes.
